Phoenix

The concept of the Phoenix has always fascinated me, the resurrection from the destructive element of fire is such a meaningful and complex idea. SL allows you to be a phoenix of sorts – you stuff up, you can go out in a blaze of glory if ya like and just start under a new account or delete friends from your list, or even if you didn’t stuff up and just felt like starting again. I felt like starting this blog again, and so I am

Starting it again meant deleting all my previous posts and the pictures I’d uploaded to go along with them, but something my rl academic career has taught me is that sometimes you have to be ready to throw everything you’ve already done in the bin and have the strength to start anew. If you desperately try to hold on to what you’ve already done, and integrate it into something else, you can end up corrupting the potential beauty of what is to come. Which is my fancy way of making me feel better about deleting almost a week’s worth of multiple daily postings

So welcome to my new and improved blog, I’m going to do things a little different this time. I’ll still be integrating observations and experiences from my rl with my sl, I’ll still be honest to the point of arghness, but I’ll… well you’ll see )
