Sam, whether that's a good thing or not depends on what your family was like..! And what does leaving your family even mean - you're moving out of home finally, or divorcing your wife, or what? By itself your comment is totally ambiguous.

Ash, good on you, sounds like you're doing the right thing. Best of luck :)

Hey all, I took this test a few hours after realising that secondlife had completely taken over my real life. I scored a 37...yes 37. Im 22 with a full life ahead of me but instead I was wasting it sitting in front of a computer controlling a make believe character thinking this would make me forget the pain of my past.Im now taking steps to quit secondlife for good and urge anyone reading this to do the same.Sl/internet addiction is real!

100% of the hypergraphics I know think Twitter is ridiculous. Hypergraphics WRITE, they don't dribble little messages into cyberspace. I write 2,000 words before breakfast. It's in my blood. Or maybe my hypocanthus. For sure in my Temporal Lobe. There's no "perhaps you have hypergraphia." You either do or you don't, and the lack of good manners that makes people think their silly thoughts are worth sharing by twittering has nothing to do with hypergraphia. Twitter: "to talk lightly and rapidly, esp. of trivial matters; chatter; to giggle." Yeah. "What more we could be doing and living" if we weren't trying to write it all down. My other blog persona is "fac ut vivas," roughly translated "get a life!" Poor Robert Shields wasn't doing all that writing because he wanted to, believe me. And what about Stephen King? 70 novels in 40 years. No one can do that by choice. There, see how a real hypergraphic makes a "comment" on a post?

That's horrible colleen, and a common story too unfortunately. Most of the advice I could give is already given in the link to Linden Lab's page in the post. I have seen and heard of many people being run out of Second Life - sometimes completely - because of a stalker making the whole experience miserable for them. I can hear your resentment and upset in your comment, and I'm sorry you're going through it. For what it's worth, most people I know who went through being stalked, did leave Second Life for a while (often months) but found when they came back the stalker had given up and moved on, so the stalkee could resume their life again. Do let me know if I can help you in any way. *hugs*

I have a stalker, a RL ex of someone I was close too on SL for a bit. He has since left SL, yet the stalker continues to harass me and other avatars Im close too. I've filed AR's. It did no good. I'm considering leaving SL at this point myself. SL was supposed to be fun, entertaining .....it has been a real learning process at any rate. I've learned to not trust anyone . Huge fun huh. The only person enjoying my SL is my stalker. Im not here to entertain her/it.
